Alessandro Barcellos does not confirm pre-contract with Enner Valencia

The president of Inter, Alessandro Barcellos, gave a press conference this Thursday (23) and spoke about the signings and attempts made by the Colorado leadership in Europe. Barcellos began by clarifying the deal for center forward Luiz Adriano and commented on the quality of the athletes who are already at Beira-Rio.

“Our nine shirts are here. Pedro Henrique is the league’s top scorer and Alemão is scoring goals again. Lucca, in the last game, also scored. We bring in Luiz Adriano as reinforcement, to increase competitiveness”.

The representative was emphatic in stating that the signings are enough to add up, but that everyone has full confidence in the capacity of the current group of athletes. “This group has all our confidence and all the capacity to fight for the Campeonato Gaúcho title. He is able to compete and win. What we are doing is preparing something to further improve competitiveness”, he reinforced.

In addition, Barcellos spoke about the negotiation with the Ecuadorian center forward Enner Valencia. “Enner is a player we have monitored for a long time. We found valences in him that fit our team’s way of playing. He is a player who is on the rise in world football, but he is very difficult. There is no signed pre-contract, we are working to make this happen”.

Barcellos also commented on the difficulties in negotiations with midfielder Cuellar, from Al-Hilal. “Cuellar is an athlete we like and brings references that we believe are important at this moment, but it is very difficult. The Arab club does not have the conditions to release this player. For this window space, it is almost impossible for us to evolve into something for this athlete”.

Finally, the president responded if the club is looking for a replacement for midfielder Alan Patrick, who has been important in the organization of the team, but who needs to be replaced in almost every game. “The technical commission is always creating tactical alternatives within the group or the possibility of any business that may arise.
