Alap updates Amapá Women’s Code – News of Brazil

The Legislative Assembly of the State of Amapá, Alap, launched this Wednesday, 6th, the update of the Amapá Women’s Code, the CAM, in a solemn session commemorating International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8th.

In addition to the launch of CAM, the session featured special moments and tributes to local authorities and personalities, celebrating achievements achieved by women.

Present at the solemn session held in the Plenary were Dalto Martins, the president of the Legislative Assembly of Amapá, deputy Alinny Serrão, CNMP advisor, Ivana Cei; head of the Women’s Police Station, Marina Guimarães; Marina Lustosa, assistant judge of the Presidency of Tjap and Cristina Oliveira, of Sepm, representing the secretary Adrianna Ramos; among other authorities.

“It is a compilation of many laws in a single instrument now in this new Amapá Women’s Code. There will be all the state’s laws to protect women. Today, in physical form, Alap delivers this specimen to Amapá society. It is important that we can all understand this movement that is being made in the Assembly”he said Alinny.

The president of Alap also highlighted the importance of women in the state of Amapá, whether in the work or family environment. “We always seek a place of respect in our society and it is through these movements that we will strengthen this further. Not only on March 8th, but every day, for the benefit of women”he spoke.

“I am in charge of this very important position in our state, which is to command the Legislative Branch of Amapá, which plays a fundamental role in the development of the state. We need to encourage women’s participation in politics to have a fairer society for all of us women”concluded the president.
