the deputy acacio favacho filed Bill 4067/23, which deals with the mandatory installation of electric vehicle charging equipment at service stations, especially on highways.

“It is an essential step towards the modernization of our transport matrix, offering Brazil the opportunity to be ahead in the race for sustainable mobility”explains.

According to the proposal, filling stations, especially those located on federal highways, are required to install electric vehicle charging equipment. The equipment must support at least three of the six fast charging plug standards available in the Brazilian market, namely: Type 1 (SAE J1772), Type 2 (IEC62196), GB/T, CHAdeMO, CCS and Tesla, and a minimum power of 30Kw.

“Of course, the prices charged by filling stations for charging electric vehicles must be consistent with the free market and cannot be abusive”he says.

The project considers an abusive price to be one that exceeds the average price practiced in the international market by more than 15%, with due currency conversion and considering local costs.
