The event, in Brasília, attended by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, also marked Amapá’s adherence to the plan. During the ceremony, the governor highlighted the significant participation of young people from Amapá in the construction of public policies that are part of the national initiative.

“Amapá was highlighted in the construction of this plan, with the participation of young people from all municipalities. This symbolizes the importance of debate and listening to build a plan with new paths and perspectives for the future. At the invitation of President Lula, representing this participation of the states, Amapá was present at the launch to agree and support the creation of this important plan for the country”highlighted the governor of Amapá.

President Lula mentioned in his speech the violence in the lives of young black people, racism and the difficulty in accessing services. He also stated that youth need to assume political leadership to change realities.

“When you are like this, not believing in politics, know that the hardworking, decent, intelligent politician you want is possibly within you. So, assume your political responsibility and be the politician you want Brazil to have”, declared the president.

“Juventude Negra Viva” will be another possibility for Amapá residents to access services that promote dignity. The initiative strengthens the actions foreseen in the Government Plan, by governor Clécio Luís, such as the one that modernized the Amapá Jovem program, with the creation of the 13th benefit and the creation of 6 subprograms.

“Juventude Negra Viva is the largest public policy package for youth across the country. Upon joining, Amapá will be covered through these more than 200 actions foreseen in the program, through various ministries that will also reach black youth in Amapá”cited the Secretary of State for Youth, Priscila Magno.
