73% of young people without complete basic education want to go back to school, according to a survey

Other responses such as lack of desire or time and shame about their age also appeared as reasons for young people not to return to school (see the image below). The survey interviewed more than 1,600 young people from across the country, carried out in-depth interviews and included discussion groups of young people to reach the results. Other highlights of the survey The survey, which will be officially launched on Tuesday (12), also outlined a profile of young people aged 15 to 29 who are out of school. Men (58%) and black people (70%) are the majority. Among them, 43% did not even complete primary education and 84% work and 69% occupy some informal position (without a formal contract or employment relationship). Those with children are also the majority. Among men, 6 out of 10 are fathers. Among women, 8 out of 10 are mothers.
