Youth Arena in Deodoro-RJ hosts Jiu-Jitsu challenge at the end of March

On March 25th and 26th, the Arena da Juventude, in Deodoro-RJ, will receive the Brazil Trophy, for athletes from junior to adult, and the Brazilian Master, both valid for the fifth stage of the Mineirinho National Jiu-Jitsu Circuit Sports 2022/23. The division of events appears as a way for the CBJJD to value fighters even more, especially in the master class, which plays an important role in the gentle art scene.

Throughout the weekend, the Confederação Brasileira de Jiu-Jitsu Desportivo will award prizes to all absolute champions, male and female, with more than 35,000 reais being distributed. Another highlight of the CBJJD Brazil and Brazilian Master Trophy will be the superfights, this time for Desafio Brasil Master Black Belt, for black belts, and Desafio Brasil Juvenil Blue Belt, for blue belts.

Involving athletes from Rio de Janeiro and other states, such as Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul, the Desafio Brasil Master Black Belt will feature seven fights, with highlights for Leonardo Porto (Nova União-RJ) x Eduardo Cordeiro (Checkmat Itajaí-SC ) and Kennedy Dias (Double Five-RJ) x Bruno Bezerra (Selection FSMJJ-MS).

“We are an institution that is concerned with valuing all classes, and the master class is no different. For years, we have awarded international tickets, promoted challenges and continued to seek to improve. We also highlight and reward the best in junior onwards, allocating two tickets for the class from 6 to 15 years old, youth and adults”, said Rogério Gavazza, president of CBJJD, who added:

“We are in the last week of the first batch and registrations are very accelerated. As vacancies are limited for two days of the event, they may close before the final deadline”.
