Young Filmmakers Exhibition gets new screening in Manaus

With great public demand, the program presented on November 17th is doubled this weekend

Manaus (AM) – The Cineclube de Arte presents this Friday and Saturday 24th and 25th November, from 6pm, at Cineteatro Guarany, new screenings of the Young Filmmakers Exhibition, of the Audiovisual Production Workshop (OPA), held by the Amazon Museum of the University Federal Government of Amazonas (Ufam). Entry is free.

With the screening of 13 short films, the program includes the presence of the technical team and cast of the films, to hold a debate after the session. With great public demand, the exhibition presents the final works of the audiovisual production course, in which students will also have an exhibition of film posters.

For the creator of the workshop, Thiago Morais, it was great to see the Cineteatro Guarany packed to watch films by OPA students.

“It was an important day for the directors, cast and students who make up the film teams, as it was their audiovisual debut as new directors and the launch of their films, and receiving so many requests to have a new session is something that fills us up of joy”,

commented Thiago.

The director of the Department of Cultural Diffusion of the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, Sergio Cardoso, highlights the importance of the work carried out by the Culture department.

“Cineteatro Guarany is the space for the expression of contemporary Amazonian cinema and our sessions on Saturdays have had a considerable audience with the productions that are shown. The young people who will exhibit their work again will have the opportunity to have a greater encounter with their audiences”,

says Sérgio.

The Art Cineclube is promoted by the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy and usually takes place on Saturdays, at 6:30 pm, at the Cineteatro Guarany, located in Villa Ninita, attached to the Palácio Rio Negro – Avenida Sete de Setembro, 1546 , Center.
