Women are more unfaithful to brands than men, says survey – 04/17/2023 – Panel SA

Under the effect of inflation, around 70% of consumers interviewed in a survey by Sincovaga (a food retail union in São Paulo) say they have stopped being loyal to brands of some products to try cheaper options.

The percentage is higher than that registered among men (55%), according to the survey.

Overall, the category in which changes occur most frequently is hygiene and cleaning, with 63% of responses, followed by basic items such as rice, beans and flour (61%), meat (38%) and dairy products ( 33%).

Sincovaga says that the demand for other hygiene and cleaning products was expected, given the increase in these items in recent months.

Still according to the survey, carried out at the end of March, for 70% of women, the exchange for goods from other brands has happened more than once since the beginning of the pandemic. Among men, the share drops to 30%.
