Former Speaker of the Chamber Eduardo Cunha (PTB-SP), who failed to be elected federal deputy last year, used this week part of the structure offered by the House to parliamentarians.
Last Tuesday (21), he used a rented car with the money from his daughter’s parliamentary quota, and deputy Danielle Cunha (União-RJ).
The vehicle, a Toyota Corolla Cross, picked up the former deputy at Brasília airport around 9:30 am.
According to Danielle’s rendering of accounts, car rental costs R$ 6,500 per month.
The Chamber’s bylaws do not specify in which situations vehicles rented with the parliamentary quota can be used. The only prohibition foreseen is the rental together with the driver service. The limit for spending is R$ 12,713, without the possibility of accumulating it from one month to the next.
Sought after, Danielle said through her advisory that the car “serves everyone who goes to Brasília and contributes to the exercise of her mandate, such as mayors, councilors, in addition to her own family”.
