Hair stylist Fábio Oliver praised the hairstyle that the flyweight champion takes into the octagon
Scheduled to defend the UFC flyweight belt in the tetralogy against Brandon Moreno, next Saturday, in Rio de Janeiro, Deiveson Figueiredo has the nickname “God of War” (God of War, in Portuguese), due to his identification with the aggressiveness of the video game character, Kratos.
When he was still fighting battles on the national scene, he entered his fights with the mask of the character, which is no longer allowed in the UFC due to the copyright of the game franchise. Still, he brings the spirit of “God of War” into the Octagon through his styled hair.
A specialist in hair cut and color, hair stylist Fábio Oliver analyzed the style of the UFC champion, who shaves with a machine, bleaches most of his head and draws a stripe in red ink to symbolize the tattoo Kratos has on his head.
“It’s a simple style to do, but one that must be done by a professional to make it look good, just like Deiveson Figueiredo’s. Just as Samsão took the strength out of his hair, we can say that the champion feels even more prepared to war when he’s got Kratos cut,” jokes Oliver.
Those who follow Soure from Pará know that the resemblance to Kratos goes beyond the red band on his head. At the age of 35, Deiveson won 21 of the 24 fights he fought, always imposing himself through aggressiveness, so much so that 81% of his triumphs were fast track.
