For music producer DJ Vinn, choosing a fighter is all about the battle mood
UFC 283, taking place this Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, marks the farewell of a true legend: former Pride GP and UFC champion Maurício Shogun will hang up his gloves.
In a recent interview with the Portal do Vale Tudo channel on YouTube, the veteran, who faces Tyson Pedro this Saturday, revealed that he should join the fight to the sound that rocked his victorious career.
From Pride, the Curitiba native walks the last few meters before entering the arena rocked by the electronic song “Sail”, by Dutch artist Armin Van Buuren. Music producer Vinícius Cardoso, DJ Vinn, analyzed the fighter’s choice.
“It really is a rocking sound, a trance beat that, for those with sensitivity, is capable of adding to the mood. That vigor is important for anyone who is going for a big challenge”, explained Vinn.
Maurício Shogun ends his career at the age of 41 and with an enviable record of 27 wins (21 by knockout) in 41 disputed duels – Saturday’s fight will be his 42nd as a professional.
