With a rout, Corinthians wins the second title of the Women’s Super Cup

The Brabas don’t get tired of winning titles! This Sunday morning (12), the Corinthians Women’s Football team thrashed Flamengo 4-1 at the Neo Química Arena. The team thus managed to win the Women’s Super Cup for the second time!

With goals from Millene and Tamires (two each) and more than 25,000 people in the stands at Casa do Povo, Timão shone, dominating Flamengo from start to finish. Since the Women’s Super Cup began in 2021, Corinthians is the only winner, winning both titles.

Escalation

Coach Arthur Elias climbed the Brabas with the following formation: Lelê, Isabela, Andressa, Tarciane, Yasmim, Diany, Ju Ferreira, Vic. Albuquerque, Gabi Portilho, Tamires and Millene. Entered during the match: Gabi Morais, Lia Salazar, Jheniffer, Jaqueline and Kati. Still available on the bench: Tainá Borges, Luana Bertolucci, Grazi, Carol Tavares, Mariza, Fernanda and Carol Nogueira.

First time

The game started with a goal from Corinthians! Before the first minute, Timão made a move to the right, with Gabi Portilho: she crossed in the middle of the area for Vic. Albuquerque, who shot for the goal. In the goalkeeper’s rebound, Tamires put the ball in the bottom of the goal, 1 to 0!

The Brabas continued to pressure the Flamengo team. In corner kick, at eight minutes, Vic. Albuquerque headed the ground and almost extended the scoreboard.

Flamengo tried to respond, with an arrival from Crivelari, but was unsuccessful in the attempt.
At 16 minutes, Millene stole the ball, passed it to Diany, who handed it over to Tamires. Shirt number 37 kicked in and the ball went out.

With a free kick in the 27th minute, Flamengo arrived with danger once again: Jucinara kicked it out!

A minute later, Corinthians arrived and goalkeeper Bárbara knocked Vic down. Albuquerque in the small area. Penalty! Millene charged and goalkeeper Bárbara defended. On the rebound, the ball fell to Millene herself, who put it in the back of the goal. The referee ordered the penalty kick back, due to an invasion. In a new charge, Millene did not waste and increased the score, 2 to 0!

In the 40th minute, Timão arrived once again: in a great move by Millene, Isabella got the ball, who took it into the area and kicked it across, but Bárbara made the save.

The referee added four minutes of added time.

Corinthians goal!!! At 48 minutes, Vic. Albuquerque fixes the ball to Millene, who inside the area kicked in the right corner of the goalkeeper and increased the score, 3 to 0!
After the goal, the first half ended.

Second time

The second stage started with Flamengo trying to react. In an approach from the right, the Rio de Janeiro team went for the goal, but the ball was left in the hands of goalkeeper Lelê.

Corinthians goal! At 11 minutes, Gabi Portilho, on the right, went to the bottom line and crossed, the ball reached Tamires, who put it in the back of the net, 4-0!

In the 18th minute, another dangerous arrival by the Brabas: Gabi Portilho kicked across and Bárbara defended, sending it to a corner.

Timão changed the team for the first time in the 19th minute: Vic left. Albuquerque and Diany and Gabi Morais and Lia Salazar entered.

In the 23rd minute, Flamengo reduced the score: in a corner kick, Jucinara crossed to Daiane, who headed it hard to the bottom of the goal, 4 to 1.

Coach Arthur Elias once again moved the team, in the 28th minute. Millene and Yasmin left and Jheniffer and Jaqueline entered.

In the 31st minute, another dangerous attack from Coringão: but Isabella headed it out. Almost the fifth goal of the Brabas.

Flamengo responded with Crivelari. The attacker received the ball inside the area and kicked trying to take Lelê out of the play, but the ball went out.

Timão’s last change occurred in the 36th minute: Isabella left and Kati entered.

With the end of the game approaching, Alvinegro started to have more possession of the ball and, in the 43rd minute, the fans present began to raise the cry of É CHAMPION, in the stands.

The referee gave four minutes of extra time, but nothing happened in those minutes and the match was ended. Corinthians is twice champion of the Women’s Super Cup!
