Wilson Lima reinforces primary and social sectors with deliveries totaling more than R$7 million

Governor Wilson Lima took to Careiro Castanho (a municipality 88 kilometers from Manaus) investments totaling more than R$7.2 million. Among the deliveries made, this Wednesday (10), are a mobile unit of Pronto Atendimento ao Cidadão (PAC), granting of credits and debt amnesty, promotion of associations, deliveries to the primary sector and installation of an Água Boa structure , in addition to the inauguration of LED lighting in a rural community.

“Our government is very concerned about providing the necessary conditions, mainly for fishermen, for producers, for those working people who are waiting for an opportunity”, highlighted the governor. “There are a series of actions that we are implementing here in the municipality to make this region economically viable”, said Wilson Lima.

In an event held at the Full-Time Educational Center (Ceti) Professor Maria Adelaide Marinho Hortência, inaugurated by the governor in 2021, R$220,000 were granted in 13 credit operations to the municipality and amnesty of R$518,000 to 39 entrepreneurs affected by the drought 2023. The action was carried out through the Amazonas State Development Agency (Afeam), in partnership with the Amazonas State Agricultural Development Institute (Idam).

One of those who benefited from the primary producer card was Francisco Nilson Fernandes Dourado, 69 years old. He has been working with vegetables for 8 years in the Tupânia agricultural community. “This card will influence a lot of things in my life. With it, I will purchase my fertilizers to put on my products. I just have to be very grateful for this opportunity”, commented Francisco.

During the state’s greatest drought, the Government of Amazonas sent more than 33 tons of food to the municipality of Careiro Castanho, in response to the declared emergency situation.

State deputy Abdala Fraxe was with the governor in the municipality, as well as secretaries of State such as Daniel Borges (Rural Production); Jussara Pedrosa (Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship); Vanderlei Alvino (Idam); Sérgio Litaiff (Government); Kathelen Braz (Social Promotion and Poverty Eradication Fund); Armando do Valle (Amazonas Sanitation Company), Colonel Francisco Máximo (Civil Defense) and other leaders and representatives of the city.

Structures

Wilson Lima opened a PAC unit in Amazonas. The mobile structure of the State Secretariat for Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc) is located on BR-319, in front of Ceti. Among the services offered are the National Identity Card (CIN), cards for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Ciptea), for Persons with Disabilities (CIPcD), registration in the Elderly Entrepreneur program, among others.

The municipality received 1,386 new lighting points. The governor inspected the installation of luminaires that provide savings of up to 60% in energy and are more energy efficient. The action is part of the Ilumina+ Amazonas Program, of the Special Projects Management Unit (UGPE), which has already reached 35 municipalities and 61 rural and indigenous communities with almost 68 thousand points.

The Wilson Lima administration, through the Infrastructure Secretariat (Seinfra), is also investing in infrastructure in the municipality, with two works on the Maçarico and Cabeceira do Purupuru branches, both totaling 20.6 kilometers of paving and R$ 34.5 millions in investments.

Rural sector and developments

Five associations in the municipality’s primary sector also received more than R$995,000 in support via a notice from the Social Promotion and Poverty Eradication Fund (FPS). In total, the initiative should directly benefit more than 200 families, mainly small farmers, through the mechanization of field work, easier agricultural flow and increased production.

The governor delivered 4.4 tons of fruits and vegetables, acquired by the State Secretariat for Rural Production (Sepror), through the Food Acquisition Program (PAA) and which will be destined for 722 families in situations of food insecurity registered with the Association of Father and Friends of the Exceptional (Apae) and Pio Lanteri Association. 1,800 citrus and coffee seedlings were also distributed to 60 rural producers.

Wilson Lima also delivered 250 Primary Producer Cards (CPP). The document is essential for carrying out primary sector activities on a regular basis. During the action, 200 basic food baskets were also delivered to the “Z-49” Fishermen’s Colony, residents of the municipality. The distribution is the result of Accreditation Notice No. 01/2023, which includes Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) with the benefit.

Samaúma Community

Governor Wilson Lima was also in the Samaúma community, a 45-minute drive from the municipal headquarters. There, he inaugurated another purifier from the Água Boa Project, the 11th implemented by the State Civil Defense in Careiro Castanho alone. There, 280 families benefit from treated water. In total, more than 500 of these structures have already been delivered, benefiting more than 160 thousand people in 52 municipalities in the state.

“I want to thank Governor Wilson Lima for his work, who brought this water here to us. We are happy to receive this water, we didn’t imagine there would be this water here, but it was a surprise for us”, thanked farmer Daniel Rabelo, community leader of the community.
