– Episode of the podcast 15 Minutes analyzes the formation of a party block that represented a certain loss of power for the mayor, Arthur Lira.
*) In recent months, a fact regarding Brazilian politics has become quite clear: the enormous power of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL).
It so happened that, in recent days, Lira felt for the first time a certain decline in her considerable power of influence.
The reason: a failure to keep promises that led to the formation of the largest party bloc in the Chamber, with 142 deputies, from the MDB, PSD, Podemos, Republicans and PSC parties.
The formation in the block, which took place on Tuesday (28), was also partly caused by a previous defeat: the controversy with the Senate involving the rite of processing the provisional measures.
In this episode of 15 Minutes podcast we will understand why the formation of this bloc represented a certain loss of power for the mayor, Arthur Lira.
The guest is the Sílvio Ribas, staff editor of República da Gazeta do Povo in Brasilia.
