Between 2007 and 2009, he went on an impressive run of five consecutive submission victories. Even today, even two years after retiring from the Octagon, Demian is still the Brazilian (tied for first place on this list) with the most UFC victories. There were 22, 11 of which were by submission.
1st – Charles Oliveira
Charles do Bronx is today the biggest name in the so-called “Brazilian Squad” in the UFC. Tied with Demian Maia, he is the Brazilian with the most victories in the event, with 22 in total, three behind record holder Jim Miller. But in terms of finishing, he has a clear advantage: there are 16 victories that way.
This means that 72% of Do Bronx’s victories were by submission, an impressive mark not only for the UFC but in the entire sport.
