which explains the easy path in the Senate

– Episode of the podcast 15 Minutes talks about the endorsement of opposition senators for the name of Cristiano Zanin to the STF
*) It is scheduled for Wednesday, the 21st of June, the hearing of Cristiano Zanin, Lula’s (PT) nominee for the Federal Supreme Court.
Attention was drawn to the speed with which the nomination was processed in the Senate. Unlike, for example, what happened with the last nomination of former President Jair Bolsonaro. The name of today’s Minister André Mendonça took months to be questioned by the senators of the Constitution and Justice Commission.
This speed in Zanin’s case is explained, among other reasons, by the endorsement given to his name even by opposition senators, from the most conservative wing. Everything leads to believe that there will be few difficulties for the personal lawyer of the President of the Republic in this stage of the path to assume a chair in the supreme court of the country.
O Sílvio Ribas, editor of the República da Gazeta do Povo team, returns here to the 15 Minutes podcast to talk about how the endorsement even of opposition senators can, in a way, make life easier for Cristiano Zanin, nominated by Lula to the STF, in the Senate.
