“What do you call democracy?”, reacts Bolsonaro to Dino’s speech about PF

This Friday (15), former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) took to social media to comment on the episode involving the speech by the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, addressed to the new Minister of Sports, federal deputy André Fufuca (PP -BAD). After giving the deputy a hug and congratulating him on his new position, Dino says: “I don’t have any money, but now I have the Police.”
“One minister of justice saying to another: ‘I don’t have any money, but I have that police force.’ Is this what they call democracy? Is this what they call independence? What the hell is this?”, wrote Bolsonaro on the social network.
This is not the first time that the Minister of Justice has suggested interference in the Federal Police (PF).
When speaking alongside President Lula (PT) during the closing ceremony of the PF’s professional training courses, on the 5th, Flávio Dino condemned the corporation’s actions in past governments and said that now the PF is at the service of the “cause ” from PT and Brazil.
“This Federal Police, today, all of it, is at the service of a single cause, which is your cause, the cause of Brazil. We abolish satanic temptations of spectacularization, of abuse, of illegal task forces. All of this is in the past. Today, we have a police force dedicated to serving the population”, said the minister at the time.
The Federal Police (PF) is an institution subordinate to the Ministry of Justice, but it is a State body, not a specific government body. The current director of the PF, appointed by President Lula (PT), is the PT’s former security chief.
