*) One month after the January 8 attacks, around 900 people are still being held in the Federal District.
Several were arrested on the day of the invasions, or the following day, during the demobilization of the camp in front of the Army HQ, in Brasília. There are also those arrested later, in different phases of the Federal Police operation that investigates the acts.
In the political aspect, the Governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha, remains away. The federal intervention in the Public Security of the DF has already ended. Bolsonaro’s former Minister of Justice and former Secretary of Security in the Ibaneis government, Anderson Torres, is still in prison.
In the midst of all this, different investigations are being processed in the Federal Supreme Court. They ascertain the responsibilities of perpetrators, financiers and influencers of vandalism.
