The Santana Summer 2023 program, promoted by the City Hall, promises to attract a good audience to the city’s spas, strengthening the city’s economy.
The event runs until the 30th of July and also includes water sports, with the Igarapé River in Fortaleza as a backdrop. Only 120 vacancies will be available, distributed in the modalities of Stand Up Paddle, open water swimming, canoeing and sterndrive tournament.
The organization of the competitions has already requested support from the Fire Department and the Brazilian Navy to guarantee the safety of the participants. In the swimming event, the distance will be 1500 meters. On the Stand Up Paddle route, the challenge will be 300 meters for amateurs and 250 meters for beginners. In canoeing, the route will be 50 meters for amateurs and 40 meters for beginners. In the stern race, it will be 600 meters.
Adilson Chaves, Municipal Tourism coordinator and member of the organization of the event, said that registration will not be done in person, only through the link mentioned in the report.
