Senator has been hospitalized since Thursday
The senator and former Brazilian player, Romário (PL-RJ), was hospitalized on Thursday (13), in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro after feeling sick. According to the politician’s advisory, he was diagnosed with infection, and is stable.
In 2021, Romário underwent emergency surgery to remove the gallbladder. In 2016, the former player also underwent another operation, this time a stomach reduction to control diabetes. At the time, he lost 15 kilos in a month.
The parliamentarian was re-elected as a senator in last year’s election, with 2,384,080 votes (29.19% of the valid ones), ahead of Alessandro Molon (PSB).
