These are the options offered by the five finalists in the category Vegetarian restaurant of the Sabor Popular stage of this year’s Bom Gourmet Award, presented by Gold Food Service. They were the most nominated by Internet users from Curitiba and continue to receive votes until July 11 on the Award’s website.

Each year, the number of vegetarians in Brazil and in the world increases. The gastronomic market, in addition to following this trend, is perfecting itself in the development of more options and the increase in the number of places focused on this type of food. The Award highlights, every year, dishes and establishments in Curitiba that specialize in vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Discover the five restaurants that had the most nominations in this regard, choose your favorite and vote! Family business, it started as a small vegetarian lunchbox project in 2016, as an income supplement. Over time, the cuisine has been improving and gaining new demands and dishes. Focused on Brazilian vegan cuisine, the restaurant’s main dishes are feijoada, vegan churras, mushroom stroganoff and Arabic inspiration.

It was born from the will of its founders, Renata Schaitza and Daniel Sandes, to open an establishment specializing in serving breakfast all day long with nothing of animal origin, being a relaxed and unpretentious place, valuing fresh, local and seasonal products. The recipes are developed by the creator and co-founder Renata Schaitza. The highlights are the chickpeas stuffed with cashew nut cheese with mushrooms sautéed in smoked paprika, the smoothies and the vegan cheese bread waffle.

Vegan free buffet restaurant in downtown Curitiba, it was created in 2013 to promote veganism. It is headed by Emerson and since its opening it has operated every day since the opening of the business, including at Christmas, New Year and around the world, bringing information and vegan options to consumers.

The house in Centro Cívico was inaugurated in 2002 by Joel and Sara, but the Sorella brand started 35 years ago in the Bigorrilho neighborhood, by Noemi Danski and a friend. The name means “sister” in Italian. The chefs are Freddy Zambrano and Val Araújo. The highlights of the menu are the vegan feijoada and the apple pancake with passion fruit sauce. It serves vegan and vegetarian food in the free buffet or by the kilo.

Specializing in healthy food, since 2015 it serves a la carte. Its purpose is to create tasty meals for consumers who value preparations made with fresh and natural ingredients, thus preserving their health and well-being. The executive lunch served from Monday to Friday and the dishes: vegan feijoada, pupunha moqueca, plantain gnocchi with tri-funghi, in addition to the best-selling dessert, the vegan chocolate truffle cake, stands out.
