Striker Vinícius Júnior asked for the postponement of the statement he was due to give tomorrow, Tuesday (27), as part of the investigation into the racist insults he was the target of during a game between Real Madrid and Valencia at the Mestalla stadium.
According to EFE found out from sources close to the case, the postponement was requested because the player is on vacation outside Spain.
On the 26th of May, Court 10 of Valencia opened an investigation into the racist insults that Vinícius denounced having received days before and cited as being investigated three fans who were identified, both by the player himself and by the stadium’s camera system.
Two of them testified last week and the third will do the same on July 11th.
On that same day, just a month ago, the judge in charge of the case issued a request to the Madrid Courts to enable the necessary technical means so that Vinícius could testify via videoconference as an injured party.
Now, with the request for postponement, the magistrate must rule on the next steps of the cause.
The player himself released photos on his social networks in the last few hours that suggest that he is on vacation in Miami, according to another image shared by the singer Anitta.
