Presenter José Luiz Datena, 66, joined the PSB of Tabata Amaral this Tuesday (19), in Brasília, in a ceremony that lasted around two hours.

In his speech, he spontaneously discussed two immediate questions in relation to the proposals for him to be vice-president of the federal deputy in the race for Mayor of São Paulo.

The first, the fact that he always withdrew at the last minute, the four previous times he threatened to be a candidate, in 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

The second, the fact that he had a friendly relationship with Jair Bolsonaro (PL), having even been launched as a candidate for Sendo, for São Paulo, by the then president of the Republic.

See what Datena said this Tuesday about these two topics:

The ceremony was held at the PSB’s national headquarters and was attended by congressmen, Tabata, vice-president Geraldo Alckmin (who joined the PSB to be Lula’s vice-president), party governors, minister Márcio França (Micro and Small Businesses) and the executive secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Ricardo Cappelli.

In his speech, Márcio França also made indirect mention of Datena’s history of declining candidacy, stating that he always told the presenter to stop looking for the PSB only when he was actually ready to be a candidate.

The party is the tenth on Datena’s list, which includes PT (from 1992 to 2015), PP, PRP (today PRD, result of the merger of PTB and Patriota), DEM (today União Brasil), MDB, PSL (today União Brasil ), PSD, PSC and PDT.
