Feliciano provoked the senator, making a sound that simulates a feline
Federal deputy Marco Feliciano (PL-SP) led to yet another confusion during a statement by the 8/1 Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI) at the National Congress. In this Tuesday’s session (3), Feliciano interrupted and provoked senator Soraya Thronicke (Podemos-MS) during a speech.
Soraya was addressing businessman Argino Bedin, who is giving a statement to CPMI this Tuesday. The deponent decided to use the right to remain silent during the hearing, granted by the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
To the deponent, Soraya stated that Bedin “will embrace more guilt than it should” for staying silent. While she was speaking, the parliamentarian had her speech interrupted by opposition deputies.
“As long as you don’t say who is who in this order, you will end up embracing more guilt than you should. Each person must respond to the extent of their culpability. May there be justice for you. May you respond to the extent of your culpability, and may this group here [aponta para parlamentares da opoição] answer too”,
Soraya said.
At the end of Soraya’s speech, Feliciano provoked the senator, making a noise that simulates a feline. The action refers to the parliamentarian’s participation in a debate for the 2022 presidential elections. At the time, Soraya told former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL): “Don’t poke jaguars with a short stick”. Remember the episode.
After Feliciano’s provocation, Soraya reacted: “Please, I would like him to stop. I’m just going to head over to see where he gets his eyebrows done.” Afterwards, Feliciano accused the parliamentarian of homophobia: “You are being homophobic, is that it? Do you have any prejudice against those who do your eyebrows?”
