Tabata says he was in a vehicle on his way to an appointment when a man punched out the car window.
Federal deputy Tabata Amaral (PSB-SP) stated, in a video on her Instagram account, that she suffered an attempted robbery while carrying out her party agenda this Saturday (9), in São Paulo.
In the video, Tabata says that she was in a vehicle on her way to an appointment when a man punched out the window of the car she was in. The deputy states that she was not seriously injured, but that she had minor injuries to her hands and mouth.
Still in the post, the politician explained that she was at an event at the Bakers Union and, right after the appointment, she would drive to fulfill another agenda.
The deputy regretted what happened and commented that she recorded the video to share her sadness with what, in her opinion, has happened frequently in São Paulo. Tabata is from the capital of São Paulo.
“This is not my São Paulo, this is not the place I work to raise my children. I know that many people have gone through much worse situations. What’s worth saying now is I’m very grateful to God, that the punch didn’t hit me. We have to hold on to each other to fight to change the situation, so as not to actually think that things are good. That’s not reasonable,”
said in the video.
