The match will take place at 7pm, at Maracanã, and marks the first “Millions Classic” of the year
The first match of the Rio classic between Vasco and Flamengo takes place this Sunday (4), at 7pm (Brasília time), at Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro. The game is valid for the sixth round of the Carioca Championship and marks the reopening of Maracanã, after renovations.
The clash, called the “Millions Classic”, becomes an opportunity for both teams. Vasco’s trajectory has had a victory, a draw and a defeat in the state championship, since the return of the main team, which had a pre-season in Uruguay.
Flamengo scored two draws while the main group was in pre-season in the United States. Despite this, they remain undefeated in the competition and with one game in hand.
The red-black team, last Wednesday (31), consolidated the 2-0 victory against Sampaio Corrêa-RJ. On the same day, Vasco faced Nova Iguaçu, in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais. The score was 2-0 in favor of the opponent.
In the current round, the teams have the same number of points, totaling eight, but Flamengo has the advantage. The red-black team is in sixth place, followed by Vasco, in seventh.
