Vale delivers industrial district to Brumadinho – 07/18/2023 – Panel SA

Four years after the rupture of the Brumadinho (MG) dam, Vale delivered, in early August, the city’s Industrial District, a project that is part of the package of almost R$ 37 billion in compensation agreed with public authorities in 2021.
The idea is to attract companies from other industry segments to the site — an area of 1 million square meters urbanized and equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The district was one of eight projects requested by the population of the municipality in public consultation that, in total, will cost R$ 1.5 billion in investments.
The project also provides for the training of labor to encourage the generation of employment and income in the municipality affected by the accident.
