The trade union centrals have advanced in an agreement to carry out a unified act on the 1st of May in Vale do Anhangabaú, in the central region of São Paulo.
They should hit the hammer in the next few days, in a meeting of leaders of centrals like CUT, Força Sindical and UGT.
This Friday (24), representatives of Força Sindical met with the mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), and requested the use of Anhangabaú. Negotiations will also have to go through Viva o Vale, the concessionaire that manages the space since 2021.
The choice of centers is marked by the symbolism linked to the history of popular manifestations that took place in the place. In April 1984, for example, thousands of people occupied the Anhangabaú Valley for the Diretas Já rally, a movement that called for the end of the military dictatorship and the return of direct presidential elections.
In 2022, the act of the centrals took place in the Charles Miller square, in front of the Pacaembu stadium, with the presence of the then candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and was marked by the presentation of the singer Daniela Mercury.
Bolsonarist networks disclosed that she had been remunerated with resources from the City of São Paulo through the indication of parliamentary amendments by councilors. She later announced that she would give up the fee.
At the time, the Panel revealed that events prestigious by Bolsonarists, such as the March for Jesus, are also funded by parliamentary amendments.
