After completing the searches in Vila Sahy and Ubatuba, at the weekend, the Fire Department of the municipality of São Sebastião (SP) starts this Monday (27) the active search for people who may still be missing. So far, 65 bodies have been found, 57 of which have already been identified for burial.

The searches were also ended in the Juquehy neighborhood, but continue in the Baleia Verde region, where there is still one missing person. According to the Fire Department, the new search phase will be based on police reports made by friends and family, to find out if people have been found or if they are in a shelter.

Even with the closure of searches in the Vila Sahy region, the structure set up will remain active for the possibility of new reports of missing people appearing.

The latest bulletin from the state Civil Defense, released late this Sunday afternoon (26) points out that there are still 2,200 people homeless or displaced.
