With goals from Wanderson, Pedro Henrique (2) and Rodrigo Moledo, Inter beat São Luiz de Ijuí 4-0 on this Saturday during a storm at the Beira Rio stadium. It was the first positive result in three games, which was already considered essential to give peace of mind to coach Mano Menezes’ team.
The rout began to build in the 17th minute of the first half. Pedro Henrique served Wanderson, who shot weakly in the middle of the goal, but goalkeeper Pablo let the ball slip between his legs, in a real chicken. Still at the end of the first stage, Pedro Henrique suffered a penalty, which he himself hit and converted.
Contrary to the first two rounds, the red team came in on a high and showed that they were willing to dismantle the disinterested image left to the fans. The same momentum of the first stage followed in the second. And Pedro Henrique, devilishly, scored one more. In the 15th minute, with a header from a perfect corner kick by the Uruguayan De Pena, he sent it to the goal. Goalkeeper Pablo fumbled once more, and the Colorados celebrated the third goal.
At 37 minutes, the rout was consolidated. In another De Pena assist, Rodrigo Moledo headed in the left corner and scored the fourth goal.
With the victory, Inter reaches 5 points on the leaderboard. Next Thursday (2) the colorada team receives Ypiranga de Erechim, at 4:30 pm, for the fourth round of the Gauchão.
