Palmeiras beat Flamengo 4-3 in the final of the Supercopa do Brasil, played this Saturday (28) between the winners of the Brazilian Championship and the Copa do Brasil.
The event took place at Mané Garrincha and there was emotion at all times, hot weather and refereeing controversies. Raphael Veiga and Gabriel Menino, twice each, scored for Verdão. The goals for Rubro-Negro were scored by Gabigol (2) and Pedro.
Flamengo was only ahead when they scored the first goal. Palmeiras turned and then tied twice.
It is Palmeiras’ first title in the Brazilian Super Cup. Previously, Verdão had only been runner-up in 2021, against Flamengo itself. The conquest also completes the cabinet of Abel Ferreira, who won the last national cup that was missing in his repertoire with the São Paulo team.
