Classes will take place remotely, on an exceptional basis, due to the air quality
Manaus (AM) – The rector of the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam), Sylvio Mário Puga Ferreira, authorized, this Wednesday (11), that face-to-face undergraduate and postgraduate classes be offered remotely due to the smoke that covers Manaus.
Smoke can cause health problems, especially respiratory problems. According to Ordinance 1985/2023, classes will take place remotely, on an exceptional basis, due to air quality.

In the capital of Amazonas, during the same period, there were three fires, all in rural areas, two near BR-174, the highway that connects Roraima and Amazonas, and the third was recorded near the Nossa Senhora de Nazaré community, on the Amazon River.
