With the increase in virtual scams, robberies and other crimes involving bank account holders, at least ten insurance companies have started to offer insurance against financial losses caused by banditry. At Bradesco, one of the largest in this segment, hiring more than doubled last year and continues to rise.
In total, policy growth was 139% compared to 2022. The city with the highest contracting record was São Paulo, with 28% of new customers.
According to the company, the product covers improper transactions made by third parties in cases such as robbery and qualified theft. It also covers operations carried out by the customer under duress, whether Pix, TEDs, payment of bills, among other types.
