Tributary summit articulates support with opposition – 03/24/2023 – Panel
[ad_1]
The summit of the tax reform working group in the Chamber anticipated the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and has already secured the support of the three most prominent opposition governors today: Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos-SP), Romeu Zema ( Novo-MG) and Jorginho Mello (PL-SC).
The movement has two objectives. The first is to prevent the opposition from playing against the proposal and making its approval even more difficult. By getting support from the three, it prevents Bolsonarists from opposing it because it is an alleged project by Lula.
The second is to guarantee the leadership of the Chamber, which has been taking the lead in the discussions.
Tarcísio was with the deputies Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB) and Baleia Rossi (MDB-SP), rapporteur and author of the proposal in process, on the last 13th. He has given statements favorable to the reform. Jorginho Mello received a visit from Aguinaldo.
Zema, as the Panel showed, met with Reginaldo Lopes (PT-MG), coordinator of the working group.
