Disney announced its new cruise, the Disney Treasure. It is the sixth ship in the fleet, which appears after Wish, and has a theme related to exploration and adventure, with new spaces inspired by the studio’s characters and classic films.

The ship will embark on its inaugural seven-night Eastern Caribbean voyage on December 21, 2024, departing Port Canaveral, Florida. Reservations for members of the Disney Cruise Line Castaway club begin on September 12th, and the general public will be able to book from the 20th. They will cost US$8,773 for two people.

A seven-night Western Caribbean cruise will cost from US$3,860 and an Eastern Caribbean cruise from US$4,073.

Vacation travelers will have several entertainment options spread across the ship’s 15 decks. Musicals such as “Beauty and the Beast” will be presented at Sarabi, an auditorium inspired by “The Lion King”.

The Great Hall, the ship’s main space, is inspired by a golden palace with influences from Asia and Africa, in homage to the land of Agrabah, from the classic “Aladdin”.

A large slide, called Aquamouse, runs along the cruise. It tells the story of Minnie and Mickey Mouse searching for treasure in a cave.

Children will also be able to spend time at Disney’s Oceaneer Club, with play spaces and character interaction. There is an area dedicated to “Star Wars”, Marvel, fairy tales, as well as the deck for the ship’s captains, Mickey and Minnie.

Gastronomy is an attraction in itself on the cruise. Restaurants mix food with entertainment, such as at Worlds of Marvel, a dinner with the heroes of “The Avengers”, characters from the successful franchise in cinemas and comics.

There is also Plaza de Coco, inspired by the film “Viva – A Vida é uma Festa”. There, crew members will taste Mexican food while watching a musical performance featuring characters from the films.

Another restaurant is 1923, named after the year Walt Disney Studios opened. Its decor is classic and reminiscent of old Hollywood, and features sketches from the company’s adventure films, such as “Tarzan”.

Adults can also go to bars on the ship. The Skipper Society is inspired by the park’s Jungle Cruise attraction and the Periscope Pub is inspired by the 1954 Walt Disney film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”. For those who want something more romantic, there is The Rose, themed after “Beauty and the Beast”.

Among the accommodations there are with and without windows, with balconies, with decks and even two-story suites. One of the new features is the Tomorrow Tower Suite, inspired by Epcot, one of Walt Disney World’s theme parks.
