Trancoso’s New Year’s Eve loses with migration to Miami – 01/01/2024 – Panel SA

Famous for attracting businesspeople and celebrities, New Year’s Eve in Trancoso (BA) lost its attractiveness to Miami (USA), which welcomes more and more Brazilians.

This year, 30 private jets parked at Terravista, Trancoso’s private airport, according to the site manager. In 2019, this number was 30% higher. Bankers say that, since then, Brazilians have migrated their fortunes and parties to their destination in Florida.

Two bank owners interviewed by the column under reserve stated that Miami is emerging as a destination for wealthy Brazilians, who previously traveled to Trancoso.

They prefer the city in the USA because there are more investment options there and they are more advantageous. Following this movement, even Brazilian banks decided to open branches there.

Bankers say that Itaú, for example, already has around US$25 billion under management at its Miami branch. Bradesco also started in this business, buying a bank there, and today manages around US$5 billion.

Furthermore, the North American city offers event infrastructure and private security schemes.

When consulted, Itaú and Bradesco did not respond until the publication of this report.
