Traders in São Francisco will receive new equipment, announces David Almeida

Manaus (AM) – The mayor of Manaus, David Almeida (Avante), visited, this Friday (3), the São Francisco fair. Located on General Carneiro street, São Francisco neighborhood, South Zone, the place was revitalized. The head of the municipal executive spoke with the stallholders and highlighted that the permit holders will be awarded new equipment.

“It’s the Entrepreneurial Aid, which we are going to implement, to improve the work environment of permit holders. In addition to renovating it, we will make it available to workers in the trade at fairs and markets, in fact, in the informal trade of our city. I’m happy with what I’m seeing, I spoke with all the stallholders, everyone is happy; residents, users are also very satisfied with what we are delivering here, and that is the work of the city hall, rescuing a fair like this one that had been abandoned for over 20 years”, said Almeida.

The reform, carried out by teams from the Municipal Secretariat of Agriculture, Supply, Center and Informal Commerce (Semacc), is the result of a partnership with the government of Amazonas, and includes 48 boxes, which also have a structure of new accessible bathrooms. , new flooring, lining, electrical and hydraulic network, new coatings and more modern finishes.

Permissionaire Lorena Cristina happily told that the feeling of working in a revitalized space is one of gratitude. “The previous fair was abandoned, we worked practically in the dark and with no conditions to receive our customers. Sometimes, we took the money out of our own pockets to buy things to sell, and now we are happy with this new venture. I really liked everything that was done here, we also have identification, and the feeling is one of gratitude”, thanked the permission holder.

Equipment

Since the end of December last year, the City of Manaus, through the Municipal Secretary of Agriculture, Supply, Center and Informal Commerce (Semacc), has implemented several actions at fairs and markets in the capital of Amazonas.

In all, about 154 permit holders at the Manaus Moderna fair received new equipment to encourage trade in the sale of meat and fish. The action aims to contribute to the safe storage of products with quality and hygiene within the standards required by law.

Among the equipment donated by the city hall, the permit holders received freezers, cold islands, styrofoam boxes, scales, stainless steel tables, among others, which according to the secretary of Semacc, Wanderson Costa, facilitates the life and trade of these stallholders, who do not were able to afford these expenses.

“Now, they work satisfied, safe, happy, with a wide smile on their faces and grateful to Mayor David Almeida, who spares no effort to humanize these areas of the administration that were forgotten in past administrations”, emphasized the secretary.

Quarentão Fair

Another fair contemplated by the City of Manaus was the “Feira do Quarentão”. After 26 years without renovation, the site was revitalized and handed over on January 31 by Mayor David Almeida.

Located in the Compensa neighborhood, Feira do Quarentão underwent a restructuring that included the installation of ceiling, new coating, replaced floor, new electrical and plumbing installations, replacement of windows, doors and paintings.

The value of the renovation was R$ 324.1 thousand. According to the mayor, the revitalization projects for fairs will continue “at full steam”, and he instructed the fairgrounds to register with the Municipal Secretariat for Work, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Semtepi).

“Go to Semtepi and tell them what you need, what you need. A freezer, a refrigerator, an exhibitor, a stove, a griddle, an electric saw. We are going to buy this material, so that, in March, we can deliver it. It’s not funding, it’s an incentive for entrepreneurs,” he said.
