TJAP delivers sports equipment for “Social Project Building the Future”, in Calçoene – News of Brazil

The dean of the Court of Justice of Amapá (TJAP), judge Gilberto Pinheiro, who is also the head of the State Coordination of Children and Youth (CEIJ/TJAP), donated, on Tuesday (21), in the Chamber of Councilors of Calçoene, sports materials to the Social Project Construindo o Futuro, developed by the city’s Municipal Department of Sports and Leisure. The TJAP initiative took place through the Pirralho Project, of the Amapá Judiciary, with the purpose of encouraging sports and social inclusion of students.
Present were the mayor of Calçoene, Reinaldo Barros; the municipal secretary of Sports and project executor, João Benunis Alves Filho; the CEIJ special advisor, Élcio Ferreira; the representative of the State Public Ministry, prosecutor Eduardo Kelson; councilors from Calçoene; in addition to other TJAP employees and students from the local education network.
The TJAP initiative is based on Resolution No. 94, of October 27, 2009, of the National Council of Justice (CNJ), and State Complementary Law No. 077/2012, of October 26, 2012, which aim to support projects inclusion in schools.
“Protection, social inclusion and encouragement of sport are essential for children and adolescents. Because of this, we support all initiatives to guarantee these rights, as well as public policies and projects with this purpose. In this way, working with children, we will be able to guarantee the future of these citizens”commented judge Gilberto Pinheiro.
In total, 40 capoeira pants were delivered; 04 (four) Arbitration card kits; 72 Tatami tiles; Two punching bags; 20 Muay Thay Gloves and 20 Muay Thay Shorts. The material was acquired by CEIJ/TJAP, through the Support Fund for Children and Youth Courts (FAJIJ).

The Coordination, headed by the judge and dean of TJAP, judge Gilberto Pinheiro, is responsible for promoting external and internal coordination in the area of Children and Youth and ensuring the rights of these age groups in all situations that are necessary. CEIJ is also responsible for promoting the improvement of the structure and performance of the Judiciary in the area, through innovative projects and training, providing support to magistrates, civil servants and multidisciplinary teams.
The specialized unit’s priority is child and youth care policies. CEIJ/TJAP has around 35 social projects, with the highest percentage being in the areas of sports, where it currently assists around 350 children and adolescents in four projects in effective execution. .
Pirralho Project
Created in the 90s, in the administration in which judge Gilberto Pinheiro was president, the Pirralho Project is aimed at supporting children and adolescents, aged between 9 and 18 years old, who attend regular education and are in a situation of social vulnerability .
