Flamengo officially announced the hiring of Tite as the team’s new technical commander
Flamengo announced during the night of this Monday (9), the former coach of the Brazilian team, Tite as the new coach of Rubro-Negro.
After weeks of negotiations, the coach reached an agreement with Flamengo, who announced the club’s new commander officially through their social networks.
Already under the command of the new coach, Flamengo will come to Brasília, in a game valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship, against Santos, at the BRB Mané Garrincha Arena. The match will take place on November 1st, a Wednesday, at 8pm.
The match is sponsored by BRB and Allrede.
According to Flamengo’s vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, Tite should already lead the team’s training this Tuesday (10), and will have eight days to train the team until their debut against Cruzeiro, on the 19th.
With a contract valid until the end of 2024, Tite arrives at Flamengo at a turbulent time, after four runners-up finishes this season.
Flamengo is betting on the arrival of the multi-champion coach to turn things around this year and try to enter the fight for the Brazilian Championship.
Furthermore, Tite arrives with 2024 in sight, with time and support to reformulate the Rubro-Negro squad and prepare for the next season.
