Joana Darc stated, during her speech, that the accusations against Agenor are unfounded
Manaus (AM) – The Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam) held, this Tuesday (25), Assignment of Time, requested by state deputy Joana Darc (UB), which provided space for influencer Agenor Tupinambá, who went viral on social networks with videos of interaction with the “Filó” capybara, which was fined by the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama), accused of mistreatment of the animal.
Joana Darc stated, during her speech, that the accusations against Agenor are unfounded. The parliamentarian said she was in favor of the “Wild animal is not a pet” campaign, but she emphasized that people need to know and accept the reality in the interior of the Amazon, where forest animals live in the same space as inland residents.
“Agenor is a person who is being unfairly accused and has been fined R$17,000 by IBAMA. In no time, he monetized the images in which he appears with Filo and, therefore, cannot be accused of making money with the capybara. Filó is not raised indoors, she lives free roaming around the area where Agenor lives too”, he clarified.
In the tribune of the State Parliament, Agenor Bruce Tupinambá, who is a resident of a floating boat in Autazes (107 kilometers away from Manaus), clarified about the way of life of the interior inhabitants who live with animals and, specifically, about their interaction with the regional fauna . “I live on a floating boat, share the same space with the animals and live with them peacefully. The animals that live with me are free to come and go as they please. She (Filo) goes out whenever she wants, comes home whenever she wants. She is free ”, guaranteed the influencer, who has been showing his routine on social networks since 2019. He also thanked Congresswoman Joana Darc for the space in which he could explain the real situation.
