A Amapá Regional Charter points out actions to strengthen Social Assistance policies in the Amazonian states. The document is the result of debates at the Regional Meeting of the National Forum of State Social Assistance Councils (Fonaceae) which ended this Tuesday, 25, at the Sacaca Museum, in Macapá.
Over two days, state and municipal councilors from Amapá, Roraima, Pará, Amazonas, Tocantins and Acre discussed the development of public policies for the sector in the region.
The Amapá Regional Charter will be delivered to various actors, such as the National Council for Social Assistance (Cnas) and Ministry of Social Development (OMG), for dialogue with the Federal Government.
“What we talked about during the meeting will guide Social Assistance nationwide. The State Social Assistance Council of Amapá, with the support of the State Government, takes the lead in this regional articulation so that the sector’s policy is strengthened in the Amazon, based on the recognition of our specificities”evaluates the secretary of Social Assistance of Amapá and president of the Ceas/AP, Aline Gurgel.
