the senator Davi Alcolumbre participates, this Saturday (29), in the delivery of three of the four stages of the revitalization and construction of the Glicério de Souza Marques sports complex, the “Gigante da Favela”. The three phases were carried out with resources allocated by the senator, in the amount of almost R$ 12 million. All work was carried out by the Municipality of Macapá and the last stage, which consists of revitalizing the stands, will also be conducted by the Municipal Executive.
Glicério de Souza Marques is one of the oldest stadiums in Brazil, founded in 1950 and has a capacity for 5,630 fans. Stage of major national and state competitions, the stadium achieved, after the revitalization process, the title of sports complex, thus expanding the variety of sports practiced on site such as: athletics; swimming; volleyball; Basketball; futsal; handball; hockey; official field soccer; fights; wrestling; figure skating; between others.
Olympic athlete Maurrem Maggi and former player Léo Moura, one of the creators of the project “Passaporte para a Vitória”, which serves an average of 10,000 children and adolescents in Amapá and also relies on investments from the mandate of Senator Davi .
In the first stage, the general structuring of the space, electrical installations, fire fighting system, urbanization, drainage, landscaping, hydrosanitary system and the construction of three water reservoirs were carried out. In addition to electrical adjustments in changing rooms, snack bars, toilets and guardhouses, painting and installation of bathroom fixtures in changing rooms.
The second phase included the construction of a fight and dance block, a skate park, a gym for the elderly, a gym for young people and adults and a society field. In the third phase, the field was renovated and synthetic grass was installed.
