Three out of ten Brazilians consider the work of the STF bad

A survey released this Monday (3) points out that 31% of Brazilians consider the work carried out by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to be bad or terrible, and 28% as regular. The data were collected by PoderData and also indicate that an excellent or good evaluation is considered by 25% of the interviewees.
According to the survey, the bad or very bad rating has been falling since September last year, when it reached a peak of 46%. On the other hand, those who positively consider the work of the STF are also in decline after the peak of 31% in December 2022.
A more regular assessment is already considered by 28% of Brazilians, growing since the middle of last year. Those who did not know how to evaluate the performance of the Supreme Court increased to 16% this year, against a median of 2% to 7% throughout 2022.
Among voters of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), 33% consider the work of the STF as bad or terrible, against 20% as excellent or good and 26% as regular. On the other hand, those who voted for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in 2022 total 28% in the poor/terrible assessment, 30% excellent/good and 28% fair.
PoderData heard 2,500 voters via telephone calls between the 25th and 27th of June in 262 municipalities in the 27 units of the federation. The margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points and a 95% confidence interval.
