Despite the elimination, the campaign of the squad led by coach Guilherme Bossle gave morale to the young players from the youth teams, who will now look for an opportunity to establish themselves in the professional team.
O OneTwo Sports listed three outstanding Copinha athletes for fans to keep an eye on in 2024.
Pedro Morisco
The 20-year-old goalkeeper is already a reality in Coritiba’s professional squad. He left Copinha as one of the main highlights of the competition and even received a proposal from Bragantino, which Coxa refused. Morisco returns to the main team to compete for position with the experienced, but unstable, Gabriel.
Jean Gabriel
The 20-year-old midfielder had already been one of the highlights of winning the Copa do Brasil under-20, in 2021. In this year’s Copinha, he again demonstrated the quality to set up plays and good vision of the game. He scored a goal and provided two assists in the competition, ending the dispute as one of Alviverdes’ main hopes for the future.
Lucas Ronier
Mobile and skillful, attacking midfielder Lucas Ronier, 19 years old, was Coxa’s offensive highlight in the competition. With good dribbling and the ability to beat the marking in one match, Ronier could be an interesting alternative for coach Guto Ferreira during the current season.
