In the 3rd edition of the tech fair, Industrial Automation students presented projects that speed up production processes
Manaus (AM) – The FPFtech Technological School (etech) held the third version of the tech fair, closing another qualification cycle for students in the Industrial Automation course. Thetech fair promotes the transformation of ideas into intelligent solutions for the challenges of the professional world and in this edition it has 13 projects that seek to collaborate with improvements in the areas of commerce and industry.
One of the projects presented proposes the construction of a collaborative robot to hydrate a company’s employees. Another initiative developed a product separation system by color, automating a conveyor belt with a color sensor that separates the appropriate materials.
Those responsible for these and other projects are etech final year students in the Industrial Automation technical course, in the evening period, which has the company Vantiva as a supporter. Some students are employees of the partner company, as well as members of the community who entered through the selection process.
Following the methodology of “learning to do by doing”, Alexandre Costa, coordinator of the etech course, highlighted the importance of the tech fair as a moment to evaluate in practice the educational procedures applied at school.
“Students acquire a large amount of information and it is time to demonstrate to society that the methodology applied transforms them into a qualified professional ready for the challenges that arise. In addition, there are many students who already work in the market and bring their experience to further improve their knowledge”,
highlighted the coordinator.
The experience of almost 15 years in the industry helped finalist Elton Ferreira, together with his two colleagues, Aziel Rodrigues and Jefferson Magalhães, to get the construction of a small-scale prototype of a freight elevator off the ground. Elton states that it is common for many companies to put stock employees at risk, leaving the forklift operator at high altitudes, something that the prototype would solve as the professional can control the machinery from a safe distance.
“So considering the health and safety of workers, it would be viable and much better to install an elevator of this type than losing a life”,
reinforced Elton.
With the target audience made up of members of the school and partner companies of FPFtech, the expectation is that the event will become a permanent tradition, promoting integration between students, teachers, the community and companies, reinforcing etech’s commitment to training professionals prepared for face the challenges of the job market.
