Teatro de Arena presents play ‘Say I still exist’ on January 19th and 20th

The show Says I still exist, directed by Zé Adão Barbosa and Rafael Dorneles, takes place this Thursday (19) and Friday (20), at 8 pm, at Teatro de Arena (Av. Borges de Medeiros, 835). The play is part of the Porto Verão Alegre 2023 program and tickets are available at site of the event from BRL 20.00.
The play is an adaptation of the work Bertha’s Memories, written by Tennessee Williams. The work brings a tragic drama through the point of view of four women, who denounce their moral, physical, sexual and psychological abuse, interfering with their integrity for being women. It is a psychological analysis in relation to their personal routines and conflicts under different generations. Through its subplots, the project seeks to spread awareness about mental health and prostitution among these women, comparing the show, set in the suburbs of Porto Alegre in the 1940s, with contemporary society. In addition to expanding knowledge about the American writer and playwright.
