Agenda opens the year 2024 with several presentations for all audiences

Manaus (AM) – The Amazonas Theatre, the state’s biggest cultural and tourist icon, returns with its usual programming after a period of break for maintenance and restoration. The show schedule starts on the 8th and runs until the end of the month.

Mexican pianist Andrea Garcia Lascurain brings together, on Thursday (8), classical piano pieces with Mexican repertoire and a special piece by an Amazonian composer. The concert starts at 8pm, and lasts one hour and 15 minutes. Entry is free and free for all audiences.

JM Jazz brings the musical “Aladdin” to the stage with one session on Friday (9), at 8 pm, and two sessions on Saturday (10), at 4 pm and 8 pm. Staging the children’s classic, the show lasts one hour and 50 minutes. Tickets are sold through the website.

The following weekend, on the 17th and 18th, the Theater hosts “Ópera do Malandro”, produced by Casa de Artes Trilhares. Rated for 16 years old, the work tells the story of a pimp named Duran and his wife Vitória, in addition to presenting the romance of his daughter Teresinha, who was in love with a higher rank, Max Overseas. Tickets can be purchased through the website.

With free entry and open to the public, “Feudan: Night of Champions” will take place on the 23rd, a night of celebration as the closing of the Ufam University Dance Festival in which groups, from different categories and styles that obtained the best grades in the Festival perform, in a gala night, at the majestic Teatro Amazonas.

The play “Alice in Wonderland”, performed by the Associação Belas Artes do Amazonas, delights children and adults in two sessions: 5pm and 8pm, on Saturday (24). Tickets to watch the show are available on the website.

The Amazonas Band takes over the stage on February 28th, presenting “Tropical Mood”, a show designed to welcome tourists visiting Amazonas at this time of year, highlighting Brazilian instrumental music and Latin jazz. The show starts at 8pm, with free entry for all audiences.

Closing the February program, Cia de Artes Casa da Mamãe Margarida brings the show “Madre Mazzarello, yesterday and today of history”, which tells through the universe of dance and theater the trajectory of Main, a country girl who transforms in one of the most important women in the lives of Salesians to date. The play takes place on February 29th, at 7pm, with free entry.
