Secretaries of Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) have been called by deputies to provide clarifications in the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, in yet another symptom of the governor’s difficulties with his base.
During the toucan administrations, such invitations used to be barred by allies of the governors through requests for views or contrary votes.
In a commission chaired by the PL, Antonio Donato (PT) managed to get invitations approved for secretaries Marco Assalve (Transport) and Rafael Benini (Partnerships in Investments) to detail concession contracts with the ViaMobilidade consortium.
Bolsonarist Gil Diniz (PL) also called the secretary of Culture, Marilia Marton, and the president of the Padre Anchieta Foundation, José Roberto Maluf, to explain the programming of TV Cultura, seen by him as politically directed against the right and against the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
As the Panel showed, parliamentarians from Tarcísio’s base have criticized what they see as inexperience, lack of dialogue and lack of participation in the relationship with the government. For them, the governor has surrounded himself with technicians who are not interested in talking to politicians, which could harm support for the governor’s projects in the House.
