Tarcísio must sweep away stupidity – 05/09/2023 – Elio Gaspari

At the beginning of August, the Secretary of Education of São Paulo, Renato Feder, announced that public schools in the state would give up the printed textbooks of the federal program, entering the modernity of electronic material.

The doctor allowed himself the luxury of criticizing the Ministry of Education’s books, calling them “shallow and superficial”. It remained to say who analyzed the works. It also needed to say:
1- That the company in which Feder is a shareholder had business with the secretariat.
2- That tens of thousands of students do not have devices capable of accessing the internet.
3- That more than half of public schools do not have equipment to print electronic handouts.

It seemed that Feder was truculently and ineptly opening a debate that someday will come: the use of electronic books on the public network. It seemed, but it was an illusion. Feder’s modernity, endorsed by Tarcisio, was just a cover for stupidity.
