Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) was released by the medical team this Wednesday (29) to continue with the mission of the Government of SP in Europe. He underwent a procedure on Tuesday (29) in London for the removal of a kidney stone.

According to the state government, Tarcísio will go to Paris this Thursday (30). For the time being, the secretary of International Business, Lucas Ferraz, represents the governor in the meetings scheduled for this Wednesday in Madrid.

Tarcísio had to interrupt the commitments of the international mission on Monday (27) due to a kidney crisis. After experiencing severe pain, he was attended to at the hotel by a doctor from the Brazilian embassy and then taken to a hospital.

The governor underwent a medical procedure on Tuesday and was discharged the same day. He will have to undergo complementary exams when he returns to São Paulo.

Tarcísio was also represented by Lucas Ferraz in the events that took place in London.

The purpose of the mission is to attract investment and present the project package of the Private Initiative Program. In February, management presented more than ten projects for concessions and partnerships with the private sector, most in the area of transport.

The plan includes the transfer of the administrative headquarters of the government, currently in Morumbi (west zone), to Campos Elíseos, in the center of São Paulo. The privatization of Emae (Metropolitan Water and Energy Company) and Sabesp (Basic Sanitation Company) were also mentioned — in this case, within two years.

The package also includes works promised for decades, such as the completion of the northern section of the Rodoanel and the intercity train to connect the capital to cities such as Campinas, Sorocaba, São José dos Campos and Santos.

In addition, the creation of new train and subway lines and a tunnel are planned to facilitate the crossing between Santos and Guarujá.
